Shore Excursion and Land Executive


Within this Shore Excursion and Land Program Executive role, you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely within a small team focusing on the operations, marketing and administration duties needed while coordinating all excursions for cruise guests.  Your main duties will include the following:

  • Act as focal point with cruise lines, cruise groups and suppliers and liaise with internal team as required
  • Liaise directly with Shorex Managers on board the vessel
  • Design, cost and price tours
  • Coordinate the excursions as needed
  • Assist with marketing material - brochures, email shots, social media
  • Supervise that agreed standards are met through spot checks and questionnaires
  • Ensure that OHS measures are being followed
  • Follow up on any queries and complaints directly
  • Prepare invoices and chase payments when required
  • Assist Directors with overseas operations and other ad hoc projects

Education & Experience

  • Educational background in Tourism is seen as an asset
  • Experience within aviation, cruise lines and DMC is a major plus
  • 2 years experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Programs needed
  • Professional level of English is a must and together with native level of Maltese being given priority


  • Local knowledge is a must and only candidates already residing in Malta will be considered
  • Official working hours are Monday to Friday (office hours), however a level of flexibility is needed as weekend work is required on an ongoing basis depending on arrival of cruise ships.
  • In possession of a clean driving licence and possession of own car needed
