Shop Manager

€18,000 - €22,000  |  Malta

A new role of Shop Manager is now available. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing business strategies to increase store traffic and optimize profitability
  • Training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
  • Completing store administration and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Reporting on buying trends, customer needs and profits
  • Proposing innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Conducting personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
  • Managing the overall running and the general operations of the outlet
  • Preparing staff rotas and recruiting and training new staff members
  • Aiding with stock management and replenishment
  • Reporting and liaising with Directors regarding targets and potential sales growth
  • Budgeting and forecasting 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (supervisory or managerial position) within the retail industry
  • Food handling certificate would be considered as a strong asset
  • Proven record of successful targets and performance
  • Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of Maltese will be considered a strong asset. 
  • Currently based in Malta
