Sales Manager - MICE and Events

Our client, a leading player in the hospitality industry, enjoying an excellent reputation for setting high standards, is currently seeking to employ a Sales Manager for MICE and Events to join their professional team. Reporting to the Executive Manager - Business Development your duties will include:

 

  • Implementing and executing all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set
  • Establishing parameters, quotes and negotiate prices with customers for transient and group business
  • Maintaining MICE /Leisure generating accounts through various sales activities
  • Being up to date with what the market is offering and what competitors are doing
  • Identifying new clients or new markets to increase revenue in line with the hotel revenue strategy
  • Attending and participating in site inspections
  • Upselling opportunities by proposing additional events and activities suitable and complimenting to the MICE / Leisure bookings
  • Ensuring comprehensive and up to date knowledge of the property’s unique selling points, features, amenities, services and policies

Working Hours
Monday to Friday 08.30hrs till 17.00hrs (Flexible)

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Enjoys exceeding targets and taking on challenges 
  • Have a strong and committed positive attitude towards the business
  • Highly sophisticated communication skills, with perfect level of written and oral English
  • Proficiency IT applications, including MS Office. Working knowledge of Opera will be considered an asset
  • Customer and service oriented

Education & Experience

  • Relevant qualification in Sales or Hospitality
  • Solid professional background within the local hotel industry
