International Business Development Manager - Frozen Foods

A new International Business Development Manager - Frozen Foods is now available within the manufacturing industry. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring profitable growth of the frozen foods product line through market development in agreed regions across Europe and Africa
  • Introducing, implementing and managing short-term and long-term sales growth strategies for the frozen foods product line
  • Securing market share across Europe and Africa with the aim of meeting predetermined sales targets and driving profitability across targeted countries
  • Reviewing retail market, major listings, brands and product distribution
  • Identifying and attracting new clients and generating sales leads through commercial partnerships with a focus on frozen goods
  • Building a targeted list of prospective clients via networking, negotiating exclusive deals and alliances, while developing new business and markets
  • Issuing sales proposals to clients, negotiating terms and conditions and concluding contracts
  • Monitoring market trends and consumer behaviors and assisting with the development of new products and services required to meet clients’ requirements  
  • Driving competitor intelligence and bench-marking activities 
  • Forecasting and determining annual budget requirements
  • Implementing national, regional and ad-hoc promotional activity 
  • Achieving predetermined sales volume and market share targets 
  • Conducting quarterly business development reviews
  • Ensuring integration with relevant international stakeholders to leverage appropriate relationships 
  • Representing the company at trade fairs and industry events

The role comes with an element of travel, thus the selected candidate needs to be comfortable with on-going travel commitments 

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in an International Business Development position, having managed major B2B Key Accounts ideally within the Frozen Goods section
  • Strong network of clients and contacts across EU and Africa
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Ability to tie strategy to execution
  • Self starter with strong negotiation skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree is required
