Business Development Manager


The position of Business Development Manager plays a key role in generating revenue for the organisation. The selected candidate will work closely with the CEO of the company to develop and drive the company’s Marketing and Sales strategy including building and maintaining the client portfolio. The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Following up on business opportunities and creating new opportunities through networking
  • Developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve and maximise sales targets and expand the client base
  • Maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships with clients with overall responsibility of customer retention
  • Communicating new services to current and prospective clients
  • Presenting sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Preparing tender documents
  • Representing the company in Sales, Marketing and Business fora 

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in a Sales and Business Development role is required
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency  in English and Maltese - both written and spoken
  • A clean and valid driving license
  • Local Business Development Experience
  • Possession of a degree in Business Management and/or Marketing or equivalent.
  • Possession of an Engineering Degree and/or experience in an Engineering environment would be considered an asset
