Financial Crime Analyst

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €37,000 Annually 

Our client within the Financial Services Industry is looking for a Financial Crime Analyst to join their growing team.

The main responsibilities include : 

  • Handling and processing customer account opening and account maintenance (including ongoing monitoring) KYC and due diligence requirements;
  • Carrying out ongoing transaction monitoring;
  • Performing risk assessments on new/existing clients in line with the company’s Procedures;
  • Assisting in handling enquiries from law enforcement and regulatory enforcement;
  • Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of internal policies and procedures;
  • Assisting with regulatory submissions;
  • Assisting with the handling of external AML & ATF compliance reporting requirements;
  • Conducting regular Jurisdiction Reviews in line with the company’s Procedures;
  •  Escalating any suspicious transactions, activities or customers to the attention of the MLRO;
  •  Assisting with specific projects that arise from time to time
  • Other administrative and risk-related duties.

Skill-sets and Requirements

2 years experience working in a similar role

Education & Experience

  • AML/CFT and/or financial crime qualifications will be considered an asset.
  • Currently in possession of or in the final stages of obtaining a professional qualification in banking, financial services or related areas
