Senior Events Chef


A new opportunity within one of the leading companies in the Catering Industry has been opened. Reporting to the Production Catering Director your responsibilities include the following:

  • Systematically checking that all food items and garnishes are loaded in the truck prior to leaving the Central production unit
  • Setting up the food service area in the venue
  • Ensuring that any specialty tables including but not limited to cake, gateaux, bbq tables are as per company standards
  • Co-ordinating job tasks with kitchen helpers
  • Preparing and properly garnishing all menu items in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring proper cooking and presentation
  • Following proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Adhering to all health, sanitation and food safety rules and regulations
  • Co-ordinating works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or other
  • Recommending better procedures to Events Manager and Catering Director
  • Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to the food production function

Education & Training 

  • Bachelors Degree / related qualification in food handling 
  • Previous experience as a Chef / Food handling


  • Excellent Coordination skills
  • Be artistic and creative 
  • Having the ability to build strong working relationships with people across all levels of the organisation
  • Flexible with the working hours
