Head of Operations (Central)

Our client is an International Company(an insurer) which has a small sized presence in Malta and is regulated by the MFSA.  As it is expanding it will be taking on board a Head of Operations professional to lead the Operations team

The Role

• You will be leading the operations function managing a small team of 4 employees
• You will support the growth strategy with the local team and the European counterparts
• Establish and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst managing and solving requests of local group entities and partners (B2B)
• You will manage the operational systems and interfaces to group systems
• Leading operations and system-related projects
• As part of the operation, you will manage Information technology related vendor management 
• You will manage and oversee Service Level Agreements with external partners and service providers
• You will be responsible for hosting the Underwriting Committee
• The general responsibility for all administrative tasks of the Company fall under the remits of this role
• You will be responsible for local data security in line with group policies
• You will support the DPO on GDPR related matters
• Business Continuity Management will fall under your remit

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Highly self-motivated, creative and structured person
• Ability to meet deadlines by co-ordinating project teams and taking ownership
• Proven experience in leading operational teams and IT projects, preferably in the financial services industry
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good presentation skills

Education & Experience

• A degree or equivalent in business administration or information technology
• French language will be considered to be an asset
