Chief Operations Officer(COO)

  Central Malta  |  €85,000 - €110,000 Annually 

Our client is a diverse group of companies that operates in diverse sectors.They would like to take on board a Chief Operations Operations and will be reporting into the CEO. Will have a number of key areas under his repsonsibility including ESG, H&S, Policies & Procedures & Logistics

The Role

  • Professional Engagement and Management ensuring the engagement of suitable professionals for effective management of ESG, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Logistics
  • Oversee the IT Project Manager, Technology Department, and Legal Council
  • Strategic Planning and Execution ensuring collaboration with the CEO and executives to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity
  • Resource Optimization by managing budget and resources to achieve operational and financial objectives
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage operational, compliance, legal, and financial risks
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor KPIs to guide data-driven decision-making
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration for smooth information and resource flow
  • Lead initiatives for adapting to market, technology, and other changes
  • Ensure efficient logistics and material flow to support operations
  • Evaluate and implement tech solutions for improved efficiency and competitiveness
  • Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Lead or support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and integration efforts
  • Build and lead teams to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Communicate operational performance and strategies to stakeholders
  • Address sustainability and social responsibility, aligning operations with ethical standards
  • Oversee communication to maintain a positive image and transparency
  • Protect legal interests, oversee contract negotiations, and manage legal matters


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Extensive leadership experience in operations with a strong strategic planning and management record
  • Strong knowledge in ESG, health and safety, logistics, and policy management
  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and maintaining high ethical standards
  • Awareness of global business dynamics and cultural differences
  • Ability to build and maintain a professional network within the industry
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
