Sales and Marketing Manager

Our client, a leading distributor and reseller of giftware, is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include: 

• Design, execute and review annual marketing plans and sales budgets. 
• Take an active role in our continuous business development drive, engaging in regular market visits and trips overseas as may be necessary. 
• Track market developments and understand market trends and customer preferences. This will help in identifying market gaps and opportunities to exploit. This will require daily communications with the sales team. 
• Set sales targets for each brand in consultation with the sales team including clearance of slow moving stock. 
• Create sales strategies and set up sales plans for sales people that enable them to reach the set sales targets. Example identifying the best selling tips for each brand, identify the core lines for each brand.
• Monitor sales performance daily and brand performance monthly. 
• Enpower sales team through sharing of product knowledge and training when necessary. 
• Be responsible for the implementation of the various marketing activities following the respective brand guidelines. 
• To draw up periodic sales and marketing reports as required by suppliers

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Knowledge of the local market is a must
• Analytical and have a flair for commercial activities and entrepreneurship
• Valid driving license
• Willingness to travel

Education & Experience

• Tertiary level of education
• Recent experience in a similar position (2 years +) is a must
