In this Buyer job, you will be working with a team of six persons in the purchasing department. Your main job responsibilities will include

  • Evaluating purchasing requirements in a pro-active fashion
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders in formulating needs and identifying the most competitive suppliers
  • Ensuring that the purchased materials are delivered in a timely manner and conformant with company quality standards and procedures
  • Maintain records of the goods ordered and received
  • Analyse market opportunities were relevant

Education, Experience & Skills

  • A Technical Diploma or equivalent with at least three years’ experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing set-up
  • Good knowledge of metals and plastics will be considered an important asset
  • Deep understanding and professional experience in a manufacturing setting and with Purchasing Contracts
  • Good knowledge of Maltese and English language are necessary
  • Good multi-tasking and negotiating skills
  • Ability to prioritise your work and perform effectively under pressure and within specific deadlines
  • Have strong knowledge of using MS Office tools
