An MLRO position is currently available with a locally licensed bank with a renowned presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Board of Directors and Senior Management
  • Ensures compliance with current policies and procedures related to AML/CFT
  • Provide training to fellow colleagues and Board of Directors with regards to AML/CFT
  • Update bank's policies and procedures
  • Monitor client accounts and transactions
  • Liaise with authorities regarding compliance assessments and reports
  • Follow up on suspicious transactions
  • Assist in audits and investigations
  • Represent the Bank in external meetings, committees, and seminars

Education & Experience:

  • You must be in possession of a Degree in Law, Accountancy, Economics or Banking
  • Being already approved by the MFSA and FIAU as MLRO will be a strong advantage;
  • A minimum of 3 years of previous local experience within a similar is a required
  • Candidates having experience in banking and strong knowledge of banking regulations will be highly preferred
