Head of Legal

A reputable client of ours specialising in the iGaming sector is looking to onboard a Head of Legal to join their team of professionals:

Duties:

• Focus on providing practical legal solutions that align with the Company's business objectives, ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness throughout.
• Offer comprehensive legal support for operations, focusing on pragmatic solutions for license applications.
• Oversee all legal aspects of the company’s operations, including corporate affairs, intellectual property management, commercial agreements, and dispute resolution, prioritising pragmatic and timely solutions.
• Act as the primary legal liaison between the Company and external stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and external counsel.
• Engage in proactive identification and assessment of potential legal risks, implementing measures to minimise exposure and safeguard the company's interests.
• Lead a small dynamic team of legal professionals in handling all transactional, corporate, IP, regulatory, and compliance issues, emphasising efficiency and solution-oriented outcomes.
• Offer direct legal support to the Executive team.
• Efficiently coordinate with the external legal counsel, ensuring the company receives focused legal support for its global activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years' post-qualification experience in a senior legal role, within the sports betting, iGaming, or a related industry.
• Extensive experience dealing with gaming regulatory bodies and a deep understanding of the legal frameworks governing the iGaming industry.
• Excellent communication abilities, including the capacity to effectively negotiate and advise executives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing legal team in a global setting.

Education and Experience

• Must be a qualified lawyer and licensed to practice law in good standing.
