Our client, a leading law firm in Malta, is looking to recruit a Data Protection and IP Lawyer to form part of their growing team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice to clients on aspects of civil and commercial law, mainly focusing on the fields of technology law and data protection law as well as intellectual property law
- Working with team members and managing client relationships under the supervision of the partners responsible for data protection and IP law
- Assist with data processing agreements, data protection assessments, data protection audits and compliance checks
- Liaise with professional advisors and regulatory bodies
- Conduct legal research on various points of law and providing legal opinions
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Previous experience of at least 2 years within a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Maltese and English
- Holds strong interpersonal skills and organisational skills
Education & Experience
Obtained a University Degree in Law (Doctor of Laws or Masters of Advocacy)
