Corporate Lawyer

A Corporate Lawyer position is currently available with a boutique corporate services agency which is part of a large and long established Group of companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in overseeing and fulfilling the overall business objectives set by the Board of Directors
  • Leading the Corporate Services team
  • Attending to each client in all aspects of Corporate Administration and Governance, including submissions to the Registrar of Companies
  • Handling a client portfolio mainly composed of overseas ship/yacht owners and Private Clients.
  • Fulfilling all requirements pertaining to company incorporation and maintenance, company structuring and restructuring
  • Drafting and reviewing of legal and corporate documents, resolutions, PoAs and various types of agreements and civil contract
  • Overseeing and managing compliance requirements in line with regulatory obligations and internal company policies
  • Handling client enquiries in relation to immigration, citizenship, and relocation
  • Executing the required legal research to provide legal opinions to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Law and GDPR requirements

Education & Experience:

  • You must be a fully qualified and Warranted Lawyer
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience in corporate law, internal taxation, and Maritime Law is a must
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Skills:

  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to take ownership whilst motivating and leading the team
  • Fluency in English & Maltese
  • Fluency in Italian is considered a strong asset
