Our client within the banking industry is looking for a Corporate and Compliance Lawyer to join their team
Responsibilities:
- The central point of contact for correspondence with clients, notaries, external advisors, regulatory and governmental bodies, and other relevant parties
- Providing the required legal support and assistance
- Assisting and provide assistance concerning the drafting, negotiating, and performance of contracts
- Directly involved from a compliance ensuring that the proper structures are in place internally
- Keeping abreast with the local Jurisdiction and assisting the Risk Compliance Officer with any adhoc tasks and duties
- Liasing with the respective Authorities and Regulators to ensure compliance with the respective legislation
- Providing advice and assisting in corporate transactions and restructuring of corporate entities
- Drafting and reviewing contracts in various areas in accordance with the needs of clients
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Skill-sets and Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- A team player
- Able to meet deadlines and present findings to the board of Directors
Education & Experience
Fully certified and warranted in Law
