Compliance Officer (Insurance)

€50,000 - €60,000  |  Malta

A Compliance Officer position is currently available with an international insurance company having an established office in Malta.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a compliance plan
  • Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory reporting submissions
  • Preparing compliance reports and presenting them to the Board of Directors
  • Formulate action plans and monitor progress in relation to the implementation of the Solvency II Directive, Insurance Distribution Directive, General Data Protection Regulations, and other core regulatory frameworks
  • Review and draft contractual documentation and manage the contracts system
  • Liaising with different jurisdictions
  • Coordinate internal and Group company secretarial matters and exchange required information
  • Any other duties that may be required 

Education & Experience:

  • In possession of a qualification specializing in insurance, risk management, or compliance
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous local work experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Solvency II requirements
  • Excellent communication skills in both English & Maltese

  • Highly motivated and ability to work on own initiative
  • Adaptable and pro-active attitude
