Associate Lawyer

One of our clients, leaders in the Crypto Market Industry, is currently seeking an Associate Lawyer specialising in Financial Services and Capital Markets, to join their growing team of vibrant, young professionals:

Duties:

  • Regulatory advice to clients or interested third parties in light of the ISA, FIA, FMA, and ancillary frameworks
  • Liaison with the regulatory authorities
  • Handling regulatory applications on behalf of the clients
  • Working on legal opinions classifying DLT Assets under various legal regimes
  • General liaison with clients
  • Research related to the sectors of financial services and capital markets

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Preference will be given to applicants who also have experience in virtual financial assets and banking
  • Highly organised and meticulous

Education & Experience

  • Must be familiar with the Maltese legislative framework
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must have at least three years’ hands-on experience on regulatory matters related to frameworks, such as the Investment Services Act, the Financial Markets Act, and the Financial Institutions Act
  • Preference will be given to applicants who also have experience in virtual financial assets and banking
