Managing Director & Registered Broker

A client of ours specialising in the Insurance sector is looking to recruit a Managing Director & Registered Broker to join their team:

Duties:

• In-house Insurance Broker for the Company's global insurance programs relating to Property, General Liability, and Transport
• Internal insurance contact person for all the Group's entities
• Leading Communication and Coordination with insurance brokers and insurance/reinsurance companies
• Submission of insurance policies and service contracts
• Administration of Terms of Business Agreements
• Administration, Invoicing, and Controlling of global insurance policies as required
• Claims handling/ administration in all lines of insurance (in cooperation with the loss adjuster)
• Data gathering and analytics for insurance purposes
• Participation in internal and external insurance projects
• Be the connection between internal Risk Management and Insurance
• Preparation of annual reports, attending and presenting at board meetings.
• Review and monitor the insurance distribution of the products
• Assessment of client demands & needs
• Other administrative and general management of the company

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Currently PQd by the MFSA, or eligibility to be (this is non negotiable)
• Must have solid knowledge of international primary and reinsurance markets for industrial risks
• Knowledge of international Insurance Programs
• Must have experience and solid exposure to the following insurances: Property, Liability, Marine - Property preferred
• Solid knowledge of the Captive industry would be strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Maltese
