Training & Development Specialist

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €35,000 Annually 

A well-established client of ours operating within the Financial Industry is seeking to employ a Training & Development Specialist who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs and initiatives to enhance the skills, knowledge and abilities of their people.

  • Identifying the specific skills and knowledge gaps within the organization, determining what training is needed to bridge these and creating such training programs through the appropriate methods and materials
  • Creating or sourcing training materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and other resources whilst liaising with subject matter experts and other third parties and leveraging technology through LMS, online courses and other digital tools
  • Delivering training sessions, either in person or virtually through the use of workshops, lectures and interactive sessions
  • Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of training programs through various methods 
  • Working with employees and managers to create individualized plans for professional growth, ensuring that employees receive the necessary training to comply with legal and industry-specific requirements
  • Providing training in areas like communication, teamwork, leadership, and other interpersonal skills that are essential for professional success 
  • Staying updated with industry trends, new training methodologies, and emerging technologies 
  • Managing budgets for training programs
  • Collaborating with various departments, managers, and executives to align training initiatives with organizational goals and objectives and assisting in identifying and preparing potential leaders for future roles within the organization.
  • Maintaining accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes for compliance and reporting purposes and providing data and reports as necessary

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Candidates must be living and working in Malta already
  • Excellent command in Maltese and English
  • Candidates must possess great organizational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Candidates must be assertive, able to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently aswell as part of a team

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is mandatory
  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies is crucial
  • At least 2 years of proven previous experience in a similar role is a must
