Recruitment, Training & Development Officer

Our client, one of Malta's leading companies is looking for a Recruitment, Training & Development Officer to join their team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the chosen candidate will:

Manage and oversee the entire recruitment process by conducting the following processes:

  • Reviewing  and analysing job descriptions and profiles to understand the necessary qualifications, skills, experience, and licences or warrants required for the position.
  • Place advertisements through suitable media platforms for job adverts and contact recruiting agencies local and abroad to find potential job seekers.
  • Contacting potential candidates and conducting background checks and references. 
  • Schedule interviews, use Personal Profile Methods to assess candidates, and put forward shortlisted candidates to the Manager.
  • Follow up on the interviewing process and issue invoices to services providers when applicable. 
  • Maintain strong working relationships with recruitment agencies and job seekers.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing Team to maintain a branding and attract top talent.

Maintain and Execute the below tasks all Training And Development processes:

  • Assessing training needs and developing appropriate training content are important steps in ensuring that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • plan and develop training content that is relevant, engaging, and aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Ensure scheduling of training programs are convenient for employees and proper coordination is conducted.
  • Determining training progress and conducting training evaluations for maximum effectiveness.
  • Liaising with external training providers and contractors when necessary
  • Maintain personally informed with latest developments and research on workplace L&D and applying for training funding.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Must have strong supervisory and people management skills
  • Must be able to prioritize, work independently and under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must carry an efficient, flexible and proactive attitude and possess decision making skills
  • Must possess a sense of initiative, attention to detail and business acumen

Education & Experience

  • Fluency in MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Knowledge of WP and On-boarding procedures
  • An understanding of psychometrics assessment and the ability to administer psychometric tests
  • Ability to utilize Social Media for Recruitment purposes
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
