Payroll Administrator


In the role of Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll management. Your main duties will include:

  • Preparing and checking of payroll and timesheets, while archiving and maintaining employee files
  • Ensuring the correct interpretation and application of the provisions of the collective agreement
  • Assisting with the compilation and documentation of Employee contracts
  • Generates end of payroll run reports and disseminates these to the respective departments
  • Liaises with the Finance department for all related journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintains all aspects of the payroll system, be receptive to changes in the system when they occur and initiate change requests
  • Compiling and collecting working hours, overtime, leave and sick leave data
  • Assisting with other HR related duties


Education and Experience

  • Minimum A’Level Standard of Education
  • Previous experience in an HR and payroll related role
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Maltese and English
  • Previous experience using Shireburn Payroll will be considered an asset

  • Outstanding organisational skills coupled with a meticulous mindset
  • Ability to adopt a proactive and hands on approach to work with the potentiality of building work-related relationships
