Payments and payroll administrator

One of our clients within the corporate service sector is looking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic individual to join their growing team as a Payments and payroll administrator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Handling the processing of bank transfers on behalf of clients to the respective suppliers and other beneficiaries;
  • Liaising with banks to ensure that the executed transfers and payments are being processed;
  • Assisting members of the client payroll team in preparing and executing payroll for multiple clients including collecting data from timesheets and rosters and inputting data on payroll software;
  • Liaising with clients’ request and queries;
  • Performing the distribution of wages through issuance of cheques or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts;
  • Assisting clients with the onboarding and offboarding process of their employees including submission of employee information to JobsPlus;
  • Ensuring that client employee records are kept up to date and in line with employment and data protection regulations;
  • Assisting in filing single work permit applications;
  • General administrative work of the payroll team, and other duties emanating from the role.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role, and any payroll and/or HR related qualifications would be considered an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Maltese Employment law and HR systems such as BambooHR, Indigo and the like, would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work as part of a team and assist others
  • Ability to take own initiative
