A new Human Resources Manager role is available in a Financial Services Company. Responsible for all day-to-day HR matters associated with the Malta office. Reporting directly to the directors based in Malta and the Group HR Manager based abroad, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all recruitment within the allocated offices, together with taking care of the induction process with new employees
- Responsible for managing the content and arrange bespoke inhouse course
- Acting as the main point of contact for employees who are undertaking professional study
- Overseeing payroll, whilst ensuring the relevant tax/insurance returns are submitted on time
- Obtaining market data and carry out analysis of the results v salaries and benefits on receipt and make balanced recommendations based on the findings
- Preparing and presenting the HR update to the relevant Boards, the content of which will cover local issues along with Group initiatives which will be provided by the wider HR team
- Assisting with the drafting of policies and procedures and general information contained within the Staff Handbook, ensuring that best practice is followed and complies with legislation
- Ensuring that the landing page of the Hub is maintained with relevant local data in liaison with the wider HR team and the marketing department
- Providing assistance to other Group locations with the resolution of staff issues as required
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and be adept at building strong relationships across the wider business as well as the HR team
- Ability to multitask and manage a wide-ranging workload with pace, ownership and ambition
- A demonstrated action-oriented self-starter who displays a positive, high energy and collaborative approach
- An understanding of leading-edge HR methodologies, policies and procedures
- Commercial awareness so that consideration can be given to an activity's impact on the business as well as on the employee
- Excellent critical analysis and problem-solving skills
Education & Experience
- Successful attainment of CIPD Level 5 as a minimum
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in Human Resources
- Sound knowledge of local Employment Legislation. Knowledge in other locations will be considered an asset
