HR - Training and Development Manager


In this job as a Training and Development Manager, you will be reporting to the Director of HR while being responsible for overseeing overall training needs and development at all levels. Your duties will include:

  • Plan, develop and execute training
  • Perform training needs analysis
  • Manage any programs:  internships, performance management, talent management, employee engagement and other
  • Build and nurture working relationships with training suppliers both locally and overseas
  • Evaluation of training initiatives are set appropriately
  • Assist and train managers, administration employees with all available tools
  • Carry out data analysis on performance appraisals data
  • Develop a succession planning management system
  • Manage audits related to training records
  • Plan & manage budgets and standardised KPI’s related to training plans
  • Manage applications for training and development funding schemes

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Psychology or other related course is a must
  • Master degree in a specialised related field will be given priority
  • 3 years minimum experience within a similar role in the manufacturing industry is a must with the FMCG industry given priority
  • Excellent command of Maltese and English
  • Be computer literate


  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into people development plans
  • Strong knowledge of learning strategies
  • Influencer and good communicator at all levels
  • Organised and good at project management
