HR Manager

Our client who specializes in the Luxury Retail industry is looking for an HR Manager. Your roles and responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
  • Provide strategic input on workforce planning, organizational structure, and talent acquisition.
  • Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with Maltese labour laws, including employment contracts, working hours, and employee rights.
  • Stay updated on changes to Maltese employment legislation and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments.
  • Handle disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions in accordance with local regulations.
  • Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding, ensuring fair and legal hiring practices.
  • Design and implement employee development programmes to enhance skills and career growth.
  • Oversee performance management systems, including appraisals and goal-setting initiatives.
  • Promote initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Manage employee exit processes, including termination procedures and exit interviews
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, and leave management, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Prepare HR reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Draft, update, and communicate company policies, ensuring alignment with Maltese labour laws and organizational values.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on policies, compliance, and workplace best practices.
  • Ensure the workplace complies with health and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities

Education and Experience

  • Previous HR experience is a must within a senior role
  • Excellent communication in English and Maltese
