HR Manager

  North of Malta

Our client in a niche field is searching for an HR Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the COO, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:  

  • Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with department heads to define staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Foster a positive work environment and handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Serve as a key HR contact for employee-related inquiries and issues.
  • Implement and oversee the performance appraisal process.
  • Identify training and development needs in collaboration with department heads.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking to ensure industry competitiveness.
  • Manage relationships with benefits providers and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct audits to ensure HR practices meet legal requirements.
  • Identify and address employee training needs.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive training program, including in-house and external opportunities.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership on organizational change and development initiatives.
  • Support the development of a strong company culture aligned with organizational values and mission.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and manage HR systems.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics for senior management reporting.
  • Use data to inform HR strategy and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Maltese and English both spoken and written is a must
  • Strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be resourceful and attentive, with the ability to work independently and in team
  • Must be proactive with a hands-on approach and open to new systems and processes

Education and Experience

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of local experience in the same role with a large/corporate entity is a MUST.
