Our client, operating in the catering industry, is looking for a Sous Chef for a newly opened Italian Cuisine Restaurant. Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop new menu options together with the Head Chef based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
- Assist with the preparation and planning of menu items.
- Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
- Resolve customer problems and concerns
- Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies.
- Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
- Manage the kitchen team in the Head chef's absence.
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Excellent level of English
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Flexibility in working hours
Education & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role / outlet is a must
- Completed course at ITS related to Culinary studies is seen as a must
