Assistant Restaurant Manager


Our client, operating in the Food & Beverage industry, is looking for Assistant Restaurant Managers to join their growing teams. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, responsibilities will include: 

  • Assists the Restaurant Manager by maintaining and improving the Food and Beverage Service, productivity, manning levels, effective people management and assisting in training as needed.
  • Supervises Restaurant staff, verifying that all areas are neat and tidy for the coming shift.
  • Inspects and ensures that all equipment is in good working order and clean.
  • Informs all staff on duty about any last-minute arrangements and coordinates with the kitchen accordingly.
  • Inspects all equipment regularly to ensure that it is safe and in good condition and conforms with all local laws as well as HACCP.
  • Assists the Restaurant Manager in achieving all financial targets, while working towards minimizing wastage in all areas.
  • Handles the Restaurant cash float during service, ensuring that all transactions balance out at the end of the shift.
  • Follows all local laws relating to the industry as well as HACCP.
  • Practices good leadership skills and motivates staff, to maximize staff satisfaction and productivity.

The role is based in North and Central Malta. The client is recruiting at different management levels based on experience. 

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Based in Malta
  • Excellent level of English

Education & Experience

  • Proven work experience in a Supervisory role with F&B is a must
  • Qualification in hospitality management of equivalent will be considered as an asset
