Quality and Health & Safety Executive

Our client is seeking to recruit a Quality & a Health and Safety Executive to coordinate the daily requirements of the company and actively implement the HSE Policy of the company at all times. You will also ensure that clients are acting in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.  In this role you will be reporting to the HSE Manager and your main responsibilities will be the following:-

  • Promote good HSE practices and support a drive for change to minimize risks and incidents both onsite and offsite
  • Keep abreast with company policies, procedures, approved codes of practice and relevant HSE legislation
  • Participate in Internal Audits, Risk Assessments and investigate HSE related incidents
  • Conduct HSE related audits
  • Follow recommended training and deliver training to other employees and third parties
  • Carry out inspections and supervise activities to ensure conformance to the HSE procedures, assign tasks as needed and monitoring all actions are taken within a timely manner
  • Update the EMS system to ensure it meets the necessary ISO standards and legislation
  • Research and suggest alternative working systems to ensure a safer environment for employees

Education and Experience

  • Having a minimum of a level 5 qualification Occupational Health & Safety or related subject
  • Knowledge of ISO classification will be considered as an asset
  • Fluency in English is necessary
  • Previous experience within a similar role in a manufacturing &/or construction setting is considered an asset

Skills

  • Sound Knowledge of local & international HSE legislation and regulations
  • Knowledge of EMS systems and ISO 14001 will be considered as an asset
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Problem-solving skills and works well under pressure
  • A leader with a peoples focus approach
