Security Operations Manager

  Central Malta  |  starting from €40,000 Annually 

Our client is a leader in its field of operations and is also part of an International Group, and they are looking to recruit a Security Operations Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the responsibilities include:

  • Foster effective communication and coordination among different roles within the team to ensure smooth operations;
  • Implement a reliable communication system for quick response and coordination during emergencies.;
  • Utilize scheduling software to streamline the process and ensure optimal coverage;
  • Implement fair and transparent overtime allocation policies to prevent burnout among team members;
  • Establish a streamlined process for reconciling billing hours to reduce errors and discrepancies;
  • Regularly audit and review billing practices to identify areas for improvement;
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising security standards;
  • Periodically review the budget to identify areas for optimization and efficiency;
  • Conduct regular skill assessments to identify training needs;
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional development.;
  • Foster team-building activities to enhance collaboration and morale;
  • Regularly update and communicate SOPs to the team;
  • Conduct periodic drills and simulations to ensure everyone is familiar with emergency procedures;
  • Stay informed about the latest security technologies and update tools as needed;
  • Implement a proactive approach to monitoring, including threat intelligence analysis;
  • Develop and regularly update an incident response plan.;
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish regular communication channels with clients to gather feedback;
  • Address client concerns promptly and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Conduct surprise site visits to assess security measures and personnel performance;
  • Use site visits as an opportunity to interact with both the security team and clients;
  • Foster strong working relationships with other departments to enhance cross-functional collaboration;
  • Ensure that security considerations are integrated into the planning of projects involving other departments.


Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Previous experience will be considered as an asset.
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the right attitude

Education & Experience

  • Strong IT proficiency and good knowledge of MS Office
  • Minimum Level 5 certification is a must
