Risk Officer

Our client, in the Fintech Industry is looking to recruit a Risk Officer who will report to the Risk Manager.  The role will have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Risk Function as the second line of defence 
• Undertake risk assessments, involving analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business
• Carry out planned and ad-hoc risk audits 
• Coordinating Operational Risk Identification and Assessments
• Effectively communicate the risk exposures and maintain relationships with senior management and the Board of Directors
• Utilize analytical techniques and statistical analysis to develop and optimize risk strategies to meet pre-defined goals
• Ensure the Institution is operating within its Risk Appetite
• Providing support and training to staff to increase risk awareness within the company.

Skill-sets and Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role
• Possession of a recognised qualification(s) in Risk Management will be considered an asset
• Be highly organized and pro-active with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team

Education & Experience

An academic qualification in Banking, Risk, Economics, Finance, Mathematics
