Senior Finance Officer

A new role has arisen within the FinTech industry. Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Finance Officer who will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

• The clearing of settlements and Card Schemes daily payments
• Safeguarding payments and ensuring payments to schemes are processed 
• Escalate reconciliation issues with the FinOps Manager
• Improve sheets and processes for current and new reconciliations 
• Challenge and work towards the improvement of our operational internal accounting procedures, policies and operations
• Assist with a yearly external audit; prepare reconciliation statements on a monthly basis whilst also identify any potential discrepancies
• Preparation of monthly fund bank entries and month-end journals

Previous experience with VISA and Mastercard card-issuing experience is a must for this role

Skill-sets and Requirements

• 2 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience with VISA and Mastercard card-issuing
• Experience with card issuing financial reconciliations, and operational finance
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft excel
• SQL querying language experience will be beneficial
