Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client is on the lookout for a vibrant Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Responsibilities include testing internal and third-party solutions, collaborating with teams, and providing progress updates to management.

Your responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test plans/scripts based on use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Review quality specs and technical design docs, offering timely feedback.
• Ensure products meet required functionality, compliance, and usability standards.
• Clearly define and articulate problem definitions when bugs/issues arise.
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly.
• Propose software and hardware changes for measurable improvements.
• Conduct rigorous regression testing post-bug resolution.
• Develop training materials, including videos and user guides.
• Provide end-user training and internal knowledge sharing.
• Lead various testing phases, from Operational Acceptance to Customer Acceptance.

Requirements

• 2+ years in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of testing methods/tools.
• Clear test plan/case creation experience.
• Hands-on in white box/black box testing.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, Linux/Microsoft.
• Basic understanding of Java/Python/C++ is considered as an asset
• Understands release control/validation (ITIL).
• GIven that this role requires special clearance, the right candidate must be living in Europe for the past 5 years

Education and Experience

• Higher level education in software engineering or computer science, or have 3 years of equivalent experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field desirable, but not essential.
