Principal R&D Engineer

A new role for Principal R&D Engineer has arisen within a Global Manufacturing Company operating within the Medical field. In this role, you will be;

• Collecting and analyzing product design information.
• Coordinating teams, facilitating meetings and organizing activities related to product design.
• Executing engineering assignments for primary drug container systems including feasibility evaluations, developing engineering requirements, conducting design verification / validation activities.
• Working with Marketing and Clinical teams to generate and evaluate product concepts that address unmet user needs.
• Selecting sound techniques to solve problems and making design recommendations.
• Collaborating with manufacturing facilities to design and execute production of experimental units for testing.
• Performing root cause investigations related to design issues.

Skill-sets and Requirements

• 5 - 8 years related experience within Manufacturing
• Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications
• Effectively operate in and may facilitate cross-functional teams with guidance.
• Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods.
• Display a solid understanding of theories/practices utilized by other disciplines outside primary area of expertise.
