Building Services Engineer - Senior level

Our Client, a well-established international project management company in Malta, is looking for a Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Building Services Engineering, your responsibilities will diversify as follows:

• Direct M&E project assignments specifically, and other tasks related to the full implementation of building services; 
• Designing, developing, and managing new technologies that integrate into existing systems and  services; 
• Designing and overseeing the installation of all main services in new or existing buildings, including all  equipment and materials connected with heating, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical  distribution, ELV, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection, safety systems, lifts,  escalators; 
• Supporting with payment applications, variations, and claims; 
• Surveilling and sustaining building systems and processes, identifying maintenance and operating  procedures, while managing expired systems and equipment and the appropriate location of new  equipment; 
• Ensure proper management of all Building Services aspects, including commissioning of M&E systems and witnessing of tests, whilst ensuring proper documentation is provided by contractors and other stakeholders;
• Ensuring project Quality Assurance throughout the lifecycle of projects, while rectifying issues as they  arise;  
• Inspecting and delivering supervision services on project sites to ensure compliance with the contract documents, legislations, company and professional standards, health and safety protocols, and codes of practice. 

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Must hold a level of analytical skills,decision making and assertiveness.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Very strong attention to detail and ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity.
• A solid understanding of quality assurance, safety and environmental sustainability.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Services Engineering or a related qualification in this field.
• Master's Degree in a relevant subject would be considered an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in building services engineering duties including concept, scheme and detail design across a range of sectors and in projects of high complexity and scale.
• Proficience in Autocad, BIM, Revit, HAvecomp and IES will be an asset .
• Locally warranted profiles will be given preference.
