Our leading financial services client is urgently recruiting an experience Senior Database Administrator to join their exceptional team!
This role requires relocation to Malta
Responsibilities:
Administer MySql and Microsoft SQL Server database server clusters, ensuring optimal performance, capacity management reliability, security and business continuity,
Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, standards and procedures in a PCI environment
Use and deploy tools to aid in the management and monitoring of the database infrastructure
Assist R&D and Site Operations teams with the database and BI architecture
Execute ad-hoc data queries, extracts and updates for customer incident resolution
Execute and automate release scripts and any manual updates required on the databases
Skill-sets and Requirements
5 years experience in a similar role
5 years experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Servers, and MongoDB (preferred NoSQL DB)
Exposure to Percona tools, Unix, Tomcat, and IT Applications would be considered an asset
Experience with ETL pipelines, SQL tuning, ad-hoc data queries, and DevOps would be considered an asset.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related IT field would be considered an asset
