IT Administrator

A leading company within the Manufacturing industry are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join their team and report to the head of procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Development of Oracle personalisation, SQL Queries and Reports 
• Troubleshooting Oracle, Hardware and Software issues
• Software development with Visual Studio / Oracle SQL to create support programs
• Consulting and providing training for Oracle users
• Performing maintenance tasks and replications on Oracle ERP system
• Managing backups for servers
• Assisting co-workers with everyday IT needs/problems
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of network and servers
• Maintaining /Installing/ Upgrading, Network cables / switches & Wi-Fi access points
• Purchasing IT Hardware, Software and Supplies
• Lead process digitization initiatives from a project management perspective for technical, back-end tasks
• Develop and implement hardware and software strategies in line with company objectives, and to bring about company dictated targets
• Providing advice and guidance to management on current and planned hardware and software projects, both in Malta and overseas

Skill-sets and Requirements

• 1 year experience in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge on SQL, Oracle as well as maintenance of Hardware and Software
• Must be a team player and eager to learn
• Good communication skills across all levels of management
• Able to work on own initiative

Education & Experience

Qualifications in a related field.
