Customer Service Officer - Maltese and English

In this position of a Customer Service Officer you will be working within a fast growing and innovative environment and supporting  customers throughout their customer journey


  • Onboarding new customers by requesting and checking relevant documentation, performing basic AML and KYC due diligence, setting up new accounts and keeping applicants informed of the status of the account opening
  • Answering incoming calls and responding to customer emails and secure messages
  • Converting inbound calls, customer emails and secure messages to sales opportunities by promoting wealth and savings products and services with existing and potential clients
  • Handling customer enquiries, managing and resolving customer complaints, escalating technical issues and providing customers with information about the Bank’s products and services
  • Executing client instructions such as payments, trading on eWealth, account opening and closure, and account system maintenance
  • Updating customer information and checking customer details and accounts through the Bank’s systems
  • Supporting the marketing and commercial plan by promoting savings and wealth products
  • Making outbound calls to up-sell and cross-sell the Bank’s savings and investment products and services
  • Other duties as determined from time to time by the Customer Service Manager

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Business oriented and customer centric attitude with a good aptitude and mindset to sell
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ready to work on a flexible hour schedule
  • Previous experience in a Customer Service role is a must
  • Basic knowledge of banking and investment products is desirable​
  • Currently living in Malta
