Calibration Senior Specialist

  South of Malta  |  €25,000 - €33,000 Annually 

We have a new opening for a Technical Administrator aimed at strengthening the client's team. The main responsibilities of this role involve managing calibration and spare parts. This is an ideal role for an experienced Technician seeking to work during the day (not shift) combining a technical and an administrative role.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the calibration area within Maintenance, including scheduling, calibration, and verification of instrumentation according to established standards and certifications.
  • Coordinating contracts for equipment calibration to ensure that service agreements and work quality standards are met.
  • Generating trends of on-time and overdue calibrations, communicating and reporting quality performance data, and providing input for preventative action plans and goal setting.
  • Reviewing calibration certificates provided by external vendors and contractors and maintaining an up-to-date calibration management database.
  • Ensuring calibration of all equipment and facilities within the assigned area, minimizing downtime, and providing emergency breakdown repair service as necessary.
  • Managing the maintenance spare parts area by coordinating procurement, inventory management, and data management to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset to make informed decisions regarding equipment usage and prevent equipment failure during production processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education & Experience

  • A mechanical qualification or in a similar field at MQF level 4 or higher;
  • Previous experience working in a similar role in a GMP environment will be considered an asset
