An excellent vacancy has opened for an Investment Business Development Manager to work with a well-established bank locally. The chosen candidate will contribute to the success of the business by taking ownership of the product, develop and implement costumer acquisition strategies to onboard new business.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the growth of the Investment Management business by engaging with clients, prospects, and consultants, mainly local but also foreign
- To identify and attract new corporate and institutional clients for discretionary portfolio management
- Attend conferences and social events which can open doors to new business and actively seek ways to enforce this
- Keep abreast with the local financial market
- Assist the Managing Director with business opportunity analysis and product development
- Drive and implement marketing strategy, marketing materials, campaigns in conjunction with group marketing resources
- Educate and consult with internal colleagues such as portfolio managers, clients and consultants on markets and portfolios
- Develop close working relationships with Business Development and Relationship Management to identify what's needed and act accordingly
- Manage and lead the resolution of internal business issues associated with portfolios and funds
- To submit any reports and/or manage any projects and activities as may be instructed from time
The salary package will be adapted according to the candidate's background, experience and exposure to Business Development and Investments.
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Strong investment background
- Previous local experience or exposure in Business Development, ideally in Insurance or Investments
- A self-starter with a customer driven approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills in influencing and negotiating with customers, peers and superiors
- Fluent in both Maltese and English
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Enterprise, CFA or other related qualifications
