General Manager

Our client is a well established company in Malta. As they are growing they would like to engage a General Manager who will be reporting directly into the Chief Commercial Officer.

The Role

• You will lead the company’s overall operations, commercial strategy, and organizational growth within the company.
• Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will ensure seemless processing in importing, brand management, distribution, and retail across all the product lines.
• You will exceute a comprehensive business strategy aligned with the Group’s long-term vision. 
• You will identifies market opportunities, strengthen relationships with global brand owners, and optimizes product mix, pricing, and promotional strategies to increase profitability and market share. A deep understanding of consumer trends and competitive dynamics is essential to drive growth and innovation.
• Operational excellence is a key priority, with the General Manager overseeing supply chain efficiency, retail operations, and inventory management. 
• Collaboration with central functions such as Distribution, Finance, IT, HR, and Legal ensures that processes, systems, and compliance measures are fully integrated and aligned with Group standards.
• Strong leadership and cultural alignment are central to the position. You will manage multidisciplinary teams across sales, marketing, operations, finance, and retail, fostering a performance-driven and customer-focused environment. 
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as adherence to Group governance principles, forms a core part of the role.
• Financial performance and risk management underpin the GM’s strategic accountability. The role involves full P&L ownership, budget control, cost optimization, and the identification of financial and operational risks, ensuring that key business objectives and growth targets are consistently achieved.
• You will act as the primary representative of the company brand portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with international brand principals and key clients across retail, HoReCa, and e-commerce channels. 
• By combining strategic vision with operational discipline you will uphold the company’s reputation for quality, service, and innovation in Malta’s dynamic market

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration(preferably have an MBA)
• Have a proven track record in profit and sales targets achievements
• Have solid experience in a Senior leadership position
• Have experience and knowldge of the local FMCG lanscape and industry
• Be tech saavy and knowldgeable with systems
