A Sports Integrity Officer position is currently available with a company related to the iGaming industry in Malta.
Analyze patterns of manipulation in sports competitions
Present a record of statistics on day to day operations of the sports unit
Keep abreast with current policies and procedures
Attend court hearings and present evidence when needed
Liaise with numerous authorities
Provide training to staff
Attend seminars on behalf of the company
Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required
Skill-sets and Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of previous local working experience in gaming or a sports industry
Due to the nature of the role and possibility of conflict of interest, those individuals who partake in sporting events that may be subject to betting practices are not eligible to occupy this position.
This includes (but not limited to) persons engaged with a sports club, officials, players, and athletes. Candidates who will choose to resign from their position within respective sporting bodies or no longer form part of this definition in any way following their appointment within this role will be considered.
Education & Experience
A Degree level of Education in Criminology or a related area is essential
