Our client, in the Fintech Industry is looking to recruit a Risk Officer who will report to the Risk Manager. The role will have the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Manage the Risk Function as the second line of defence
Undertake risk assessments, involving analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business
Carry out planned and ad-hoc risk audits
Coordinating Operational Risk Identification and Assessments
Effectively communicate the risk exposures and maintain relationships with senior management and the Board of Directors
Utilize analytical techniques and statistical analysis to develop and optimize risk strategies to meet pre-defined goals
Ensure the Institution is operating within its Risk Appetite
Providing support and training to staff to increase risk awareness within the company.
Skill-sets and Requirements
A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role
Possession of a recognised qualification(s) in Risk Management will be considered an asset
Be highly organized and pro-active with a can-do attitude
Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team
Education & Experience
An academic qualification in Banking, Risk, Economics, Finance, Mathematics
