Our client, within the payments industry is seeking to recruit a Risk Manager, reporting to the CEO the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing an overall risk management process, including analysis of the financial impact on the company
- Performing risk assessments by analysing current risks and identifying risks which could affect the business
- Evaluating risks handled in the past and potential risks with policies and procedures set out by the company
- Preparation of a risk management budget
- Implementing business continuity plans to limit risks
- Performing compliance audits which includes liasing with both internal and external auditors
- Reviewing new business contracts or proposals
- Providing training and support to team members to build risk awareness
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Experience working in a risk management role in the financial services industry or regulated environment
- Understanding of MFSA requirements with regards to the risk management function
- Strong understanding of operational risk framework including operational risk systems, policies and regulatory requirements
- AML experience in a regulated environment
- Resilient and works well under pressure
- Decision maker and making sound judgement
Education & Experience
Holds a University Degree/Qualification related to risk management, financial services
