Regulatory Supervisor

Our client, a well know Financial Services Provider, is looking to recruit a Regulatory Supervisor to join their growing team. 

 

Responsibilities

• Carry out research and build technical knowledge on new or changing regulations
• Assist the team by providing the guidance and support in implementing and interpreting regulatory matters
• Manage in-depth reviews of compliance with relevant regulations, providing gap assessments and remediation recommendations
• Document work performed and findings in a logical, thorough and structured manner
• Keep abreast with the latest regulatory reporting requirements and assessing their applicability of the group. 
• Coordinate the required changes emanating from the regulations to our policies and procedures by providing regulatory expertise and support
• Communicate regulatory interpretations and applicability to the competent authorities
• Coordinate regulatory queries with external advisors and manage regulatory engagements
• Maintain a log of regulatory regulations, queries, requests and communication
• Participate in projects implementing new regulatory metrics and changes to the reportable templates

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Previous experience in banking prudential regulation developed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision is considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Be self-driven and keen to develop skills and enhance knowledge
• Apply logical and analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Education & Experience

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accounting or Finance
