Compliance Assistant Manager

Our client, a multi-jurisdictional player in the financial services sector providing corporate, fiduciary, and fund services with 40 years of experience in the sector, is looking to engage a Compliance Assistant Manager to join its growing team of professionals.


  • Assisting the Head of Compliance in delivering regulatory advice, guidance, and support to management and the operational teams.
  • Assisting the Head of Compliance in implementing the group’s compliance monitoring programmes and ensuring that operations remain compliant with the various laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the business, including development and implementation.
  • Assisting the Head of Compliance in identifying compliance and regulatory risks and in the identification, implementation, and monitoring of controls to mitigate such risks.
  • Monitoring regulatory and legislative developments and disseminating the same to the relevant teams within the business.
  • Assisting in the preparation of regulatory reporting and replies to ad hoc regulatory requests.
  • Drafting and updating internal policies and procedures manuals.
  • Taking responsibility for and executing ad hoc assignments related to specific compliance projects undertaken from time to time.
  • Working to increase compliance awareness and promote a compliance culture across the business.
  • Other ad hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, are essential for this role
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within financial services
  • Proficient working knowledge of related legislation and regulation
  • Proactive and flexible, adopting a ‘can do’ attitude to work
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail

Education & Experience

  • Qualification at EQF 6 level from a reputable European Union university or equivalent in a related discipline
  • Proficient working knowledge of related legislation and regulation
  • ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance or in Anti Money Laundering will be considered a strong asset
