Commercial Manager

This job summary of a Commercial Manager is for a leading company within the import and distribution industry for FMCG.  The selected person for this job will be responsible of assigned brands from start to finish - supplier relationship, stock management, procurement and managing of brands within the local market. 

Main duties are here under:

  • Develop needed business plan including budgeting and forecasting for the assigned brands
  • Contribute to the marketing plan and ensure the right message is being delivered and results obtained
  • Monitor competition activity - pricing, product information, product development, product range
  • Maintain a strong supplier relationship
  • Stock Management
  • Data Analysis and Reporting - analysis of brand positioning, sales presentations and delivery of presentations at all levels
  • Set commercial strategies to ensure the sales and margin targets are being met
  • Actively seek new brands and products relevant to your division
  • Attend trade fairs

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • 3 years work experience within a similar role is needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Native level of Maltese and professional level of English is a must
  • Holds a valid driving license
  • Action oriented and driven
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiations skills
  • Organised yet good at multitasking

Education & Experience

A University Degree in a business related subject is a must
