Our client in the Financial Services industry is looking to recruit a Senior Risk and Regulatory Manager in their Banking Risk & Regulatory Advisory team.
The selected person will be providing advisory services related to banking financial and prudential regulation, corporate governance, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist banking and financial services clients in assessing regulatory readiness, identifying gaps, and offering remediation strategies.
- Support clients in developing stress testing exercises to evaluate the impact of internal and external shocks on capital and liquidity reserves.
- Research and stay informed on new or changing regulations related to governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Apply technical knowledge of regulatory and risk topics to client-specific situations.
- Draft policies and procedures that enhance internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Document findings and prepare reports in line with methodology and guidance.
- Advise clients on control design issues, offering solutions based on industry best practices.
- Plan and execute projects to ensure an exceptional client experience.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Risk, Compliance, Finance, or similar, with a focus on banking risk and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with financial risk tools, modelling techniques, or managing stress testing exercises (ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP), Capital Requirements Regulation/Directive (CRD6/CRR3), or EBA/MFSA banking regulation guidance is highly desirable.
- Strong interest in building and nurturing client relationships while solving challenges using a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members to ensure high performance and quality output.
- Build productive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, fostering mutual respect and trust.
- Leverage industry knowledge to create solutions that align with market trends and challenge existing practices.
- Manage complex projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
- Lead teams in applying appropriate tools, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrate agility in adapting to unexpected situations and guide teams to do the same.
- Identify opportunities to advance the team’s presence in the marketplace through current engagements and collaborations.
Education and Experience
- University degree in Banking and Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
