Risk Officer - Insurance

A client of our operating within the Insurance industry is currently looking for a Risk Officer to join their growing team.

Duties include: 

• Assist the Head of Risk with ensuring that the risk register of each company are continuously up to date and accurate, with regards to the list of risks, risk description, assessment, equity, inherent and residual risk.
• Assist the Head of Risk with ensuring compliance to Pillar 2 of Solvency II with regards to a sound and robust Risk Management System
• Assist the Head of Risk with ensuring all the relevant and types risks of the Company in relation to Motor and Breakdown Insurance are identified, monitored and assessed.
• Assist the Head of Risk with ensuring to minimise the overall risk of each company
• Assist the Head of Risk with monitoring the 2nd level controls in relation to Motor and Breakdown Insurance of all the risks on a quarterly basis and issuing recommendations were necessary.
• Assist the Head of Risk with Risk Management Committee and Solvency 2 presentations.
• Assist the Head of Risk with the coordination and preparation of the ORSA for with particular focus on Motor and Breakdown Insurance.
• Assist the Head of Risk with the Company’s Risk Appetite, focusing mainly on the monitoring, adherence and reporting in relation to Motor and Breakdown Insurance.
• Assist the Head of Risk with the Company’s Annual Director’s Risk Workshop in preparation of the ORSA risks in relation to the Motor and Breakdown Insurance risks.
• Assist the Head of Risk with any regulatory and supervisory updates impacting mainly Motor and Breakdown Insurance.

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Experience of at least 3 years in a similar position within the insurance industry is required
• Data Protection studies and experience would be considered an asset
• Fluency in both written and verbal English, fluency in French is considred an asset but not a requirement
